Long time no see! I know it's incredibly generic, but I have been stupid busy these last two weeks. But let me bring you up to speed on this crazy ride I like to call...my life!
4th of July weekend
Drove to Springfield, IL with Jayme for my family reunion. It was Jayme's first encounter with the Butler clan!! We spent 4 awesome days with my family, hanging by the pull, playing basketball, baseball, volleyball, and eating! While I was there I was also able to have "brunch" with Stan and Misti, their kids and Ryan! Seems like just last week we were all in the cafeteria on a Saturday morning eating omlets together!
Well, after that weekend, Jayme and I began the transition back into work mode. She has been working really hard on Audio Adrenaline and Mercy Me tours and I have been booking fall tours for Big Daddy Weave and Todd Agnew! I really can't complain at all....I get to work in jeans, I work for some of Christian music's hottest groups, and I get paid for it! These last weeks have been crazy though with these fall tours. Normally, you would want to have your fall schedule booked by the end of June (at least). But since we received word on these tours in the middle of June, here we are booking in July. Which just happens to be the most impossible task even brought before mankind. Here's why:
VACATION. Everybody and their mom is on vacation, on a missions trip, or at camp during July! I have easily left over 200 voice mails in the last week and a half. But we are coming to an end. The tours finally seem to be closing a little bit! Hopefully by the time I fly out to NYR next weekend, the tours will be booked!!
Speaking of NYR, who's going? I have the priviledge once again to play and sing with Rented Rhythm. I am listening to the music right now. I have less than 2 weeks to learn all of it! I am looking forward to a week long vacation in the mountains of Colorado, hanging with friends, playing volleyball, and rocking out! You know Matt Hunt likes to rock!! With Monte now pulling double duty with Foundation Red, this could be an interesting year! Hope to see you there.
Other than that....my life has been peaceful and calm! Thank you for your prayers! Oh, the title to this blog is the words of the Rented Rhythm song I was listening to when I was typing this. Check out their latest release Aug 2005 in every store of any kind, worldwide!! It will probably out sell every record to date! Well.....maybe. Hope and Peace!
