So.....

So right now I am sitting at work......just sitting......Technology, computers, email, all are great things.....but when they are all taken down by a "glitch", there's not much you can do. So I sit.....and sit. And because of my sitting situation, I have decided to take this time to update you on the happenings in Nashville. Married life is going great. I finally feel settled into OUR condo and am now just using everyday to move closer to knowing Jayme fully! I know that marriage is a continuous journey of education, and I am being schooled each and everyday!! ....hold on.....my boss just yelled.....he is in the server room trying to fix the problem......not a good thing when he yells in pain...... Anyway, winter is finally arriving in N-ville. Here, we don't really have much snow. That is definitely one of the most frustrating things about N-ville. Today it is cold and looks like it could snow......but no....just rain. And as a farm-boy, cold and rainy, with a little wind is the worst of weather conditions. It's just ugly!

WEDDING PHOTOS!! Our wedding photos will be online for your viewing pleasure within this week. I will be posting a link on my sidebar as soon as we get the go ahead. Our photographer has informed us that all 1500 or so shots should be viewable soon. Go to the link for Arlund Photo when it appears!!

Music......Last Sunday, I had the privilege of once again going to the Andrew Peterson Christmas show here in Nashville. This was the 6th year for the show, and was held at the Ryman Auditorium for the second year. The night was filled with artists that are probably not real well known, but are either writing or producing much of the great music in the Christian and some mainstream markets!! Guest appearances by Mindy Smith, Gabe Scott, Derek Webb and his wife Sandra McCrakken, Jill Phillips and her husband, Ben Shive, Pierce Pettis, the banjo player from Union Station, Randall Goodgame (yeah, that's his last name!!), Andrew Osenga, and so many more!! Phil Keaggy wasn't able to make it....but my hopes are that he will be back next year.

Speaking of Phil Keaggy, Josh Wilson is planning a second release for January. Josh is a great friend of mine from Nashville. He is an AMAZING guitarist and songwriter. His first release "Dragonfly" was an amazing collection of folk/pop songs written and performed by Josh. He is now teaming up with producer Andrew Osenga (Caedmon's Call member) for his second release "Shaking the Shadow". Check out his link on my sidebar. You can pre-order the new release at his site and also at his myspace page!! Check him out if you like talented, singer/song-writer music!!

EVERYDAY!!!

Jayme and I at Passions....the beach side bar.

Another candid at the bus stop. Aruba had amazing public transportation. So we took complete advantage of it everyday.

Our resort....Amsterdam Manor. Aruba is a Dutch colony, so the style and culture was similar to Holland....only on the beach, and warm!! Very European....even full of European turists!! It was a culture I was not familiar with...but I loved it.

Jayme and I on the dock of the port in Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba.

The Second natural bridge....this was a site on our Jeep Safari across Aruba! We traveled in a complete circle around the island. Aruba is only 20 miles by 6 miles in area....so an all day trip around Aruba is definitely all incompassing!! We saw the California lighthouse, the desert which makes up the Northern half of the island, the natural bridges, an ostrich farm, a natural pool, and many other incredible sites!! Aruba is a must see island for any traveler!! Forget the boycots, get to Aruba and enjoy!!

WOW! Yeah...we were living right across the street from this shot. We spent basically every afternoon right there....taking in the sun!

This was our Thanksgiving dinner. An American/Aruban buffet on the beach! The only bad part were the mesquitoes! For some reason we didn't see any bugs until that night....?

Just a candid shot early in the week at the bus stop. I decided to be more native and shave the beard the day after this shot!

I have decided to tell you about my honeymoon with pictures instead of words....so much easier to post one picture, than to write 1000 words! Here you go:

This is Jayme and I outside our resort....Amsterdam Manor! If you didn't know, Jayme and I spent the week in Aruba....no missing girls....but an amazing week of relaxation!

"ACTION"

Hey Hey!! I'm back....Sorry to leave you all hanging for the last 2 months. I've been a little busy, but we'll get to that. I guess the easiest way to do this is to just make a list....so.....

The week of the weddin':
Jayme's mother and sisters showed up earlier in the week, just to continue to tie-up little details, and to keep Jayme sain!! Skip to Friday....I got off work at noon just in time to meet my groomsman at the tux shop to pick up our tuxes. So there we were, my dad, brothers Casey and Kyle, Jayme's dad Jim, roomates Timothy and Jon, and Jesse and Julie Colburn! As we were debating on where to go eat lunch, Nathan Stephan calls me to ask where he should eat in Nashville as he drives through to a wedding in Atlanta. So I direct him and his family to us and we all had lunch together!! Skipping on, the rehearsal is crazy like every other rehearsal I've ever been apart of. The rehearsal dinner was INCREDIBLE!! My Aunts Mary, Priscilla, and Julie catered an amazing Thanksgiving meal that, I'm sure, rivaled the White House Thanksgiving!! Josh and Susan Sanchez showed up just in time for the festivities!!

SATURDAY!! The "big day"! So much of the day is still a blur...but I will try and summarize it for you. I woke up, not early, maybe around 9:30a.m. I had a few errands to run, so I did that. Around 11:30 I began to get ready (shower, brush teeth....done!!). I made it to the church around noon:30ish. My guys and I gathered in the dressing room for tuxation! Once we were all dressed and ready, we shared in a toast. I had saved a bottle of sparkling cider from Jesse and Julie's wedding back in 2001!!! Wow...let's just say it had lost a little of the sparkle! Jayme and I were suppose to see each other at 1:50....so around 2p.m. I was standing on stage and was met there by the most beautiful November bride I've ever seen......my eyes are watering as I remember.....her dress was amazing! I wish a photograph could capture the beauty....but some things are just better kept inside the mind! The day proceeded....pictures inside and outside....family, friends, kids! The pictures were done surprisingly early, so we all had a couple hours to just chill at the church...........................waiting..................waiting.................FINALLY..
Josh Wilson begins the prelude music.......my stomach become and butterfly net. If you haven't had the opportunity to hear Josh live, check him out at www.joshwilsonmusic.com!! Jesse and I stepped forward to sing the ever popular "Jesus, I Do"...penned by Jesse himself!! Dan Mathews and Laura (Jayme's friend) begin performing and the bride's maids enter. As I watched and waited, the music faded into the background....seriously....Laura has an amazing voice, and Dan is a phenomenal pianist, but I didn't hear a note. My eyes, ears, heart and mind were focused on the closed doors at the end of the isle! Trumpet, organ...please ask her to enter! The smile....you know, the kind you get when you witness something of beauty or talent that is just beathetaking! Yeah, that was my smile!! Scare out of my whits, I take her hand and we begin this ceremonial journey. My Uncle Joe began and brought us together through God's words! As he asked my dad (bestman) for the ring, I turned to see my dad holding an old-school ball-and-chain.....an actual ball and chain. He looked confused, dropped the ball and reached into his pocket only to pull out an old western pair of shackles!! By this time, Jayme has looked around me just in time to see the pile of objects around my dad. Finally, he found the ring in his coat pocket. The ceremony was allowed to continue!! We did it, "I Do's" were said, rings were placed.....and the kiss was landed! We left the church in a snow-fall of leaves and bubbles! We took a London Taxi, and off we were!! Like a grandson on Christmas morning that had just received an heirloom from his grandfather, I was so excited for my new responsibility, and yet pettrified at the responsibility I had been given! Hope and Peace!
