So Long....Good Bye!

So this week has been an eventful one for the Butler household. Sunday, we finally got the meeting with our builder that we had been pressing for. We wanted the opportunity to talk with the head honcho about the problems with our house. We were expecting him to walk into the house and immediately see the problems and start discussing how they would fix it.....WRONG!!! Wow, we couldn't have been more wrong! Upon entering the house, the builder (let's just call him Fred....cause that's his name!), Dotty (the sales lady who sold us the house), Jayme and I began admiring how much they had done on the construction....fire place installed, brick was beginning to come together, plumbing in, tub and showers in, etc. Fred asked us what was wrong. So we began telling him about our short entry way and our small bonus room. To make this INCREDIBLY long and frustrating story shorter and easier to bare...Fred allowed us to talk about what we saw was wrong and he would then tell us how it wasn't wrong and there were no mistakes. For an hour it went round and around! He said that the framers had some liberty with the blue prints and took those liberties. Our house was not like the model house that we were shown in the beginning.....but there was nothing wrong???? Needless to say we were very frustated, but we just tried to ask as many questions as possible to figure out why he wanted to screw us. Anyway, we are now out of our contract for the house!! Freedom has never felt so annoying. We had our hopes up on a new house where we had space to grow and breathe, and now we are back to our very small condo.
Somehow, God was working through all this. We don't know why just yet, but for some reason we were not to be in this house at this time. God made that very obviously, and is giving us peace about it. We are obviously still frustrated and heart-broken....but hopeful for where God is leading us now. Pray that we will know where He is leading! Hope and peace!!
